Mary Buckley Scholarship Fund
Students: Financial need, GPA 2.5 or higher, desire to enter allied health profession
The Mary Buckley Scholarship Fund was established in 1959 in memory of the second president, Mary Buckley of Toledo, who tragically died in a fire in her home 2 weeks before the end of her term as president. The first scholarship was awarded in 1972 making 2022 scholarships the 50th year of awards.

Since 1972, the Ohio State Society of Medical Assistants has sponsored annual scholarships for Medical Assisting Students who are enrolled in AAMA-CAAHEP accredited medical assisting programs through its Mary Buckley Scholarship Fund. We will be awarding at least five (5) $1000.00 scholarships. We will accept applications between January 1, 2024 to February 29, 2024.

A student may apply in their second semester of the Medical Assisting program.

Selection criteria are based on:
-Desire to enter the allied health care profession
-Financial need
-GPA 2.5 or higher
-No application will be accepted without transcripts and 2 (two) letters of recommendations.
Emergency Membership Dues Assistance
Members: In need of assistance with membership dues
Guidelines

Must be a current active member of the AAMA

Applicant may only receive the Assistance twice
-
Cannot receive award in consecutive years
-
Application Due by November 15th of the current year

Application must be submitted to the Membership Chair

Must attach AAMA membership renewal application
